I have 27k VPP left to collect until I’m Supernova. I hope I can accomplish this target until my holidays. Football WM is not my best friend in these days, I struggle to collect the points I need. Today i made a PLO 2k shot which ended up losing one stack because I hit zero and on my table where one loose fish and you can imagine that the action there was really loose aggressive. So i had no chance, although I tried to play looser Preflop.

I’m now looking forward to evening football match England vs Algeria. Gareth Barry is back in the team which should be the key to succes for the English team. So there is no Gerrad-Lampard in the central Midfield (Gerrad should be now lef-midfield) which is the best thing that could happen.

Germany today lost against Serbia and also lost his favorite position. Not a big suprise in my opinon because Serbia have normaly a very good Defence and a solid Offense. The key point off course was the yellow-red card for Klose. Badstuber had big problem with Krasic and I’m thrilled if he will play against Ghana or if Jansen get his chance. It wasn’t a bad match by Germany at all but Podolski wasted too many chances.

Slovenia vs USA was suprisingley a very good match. In general the second round at the World Cup is much better than the first round. The first round was really boring but now the matches are getting better. I hope this continue…

After more than a half month later I would say there is a chance that I will potentially try it again but not soon. The Pound/Euro exchange rate is now horrible at the moment and my whole money that I have (also my BR) is in Euro. When I flew to England the exchange rate was 1/0,88 and now it is 1/0,828.

My my next England trip will be soon in mid July but just as holiday. I will tell you more about the vacation in one of my next blog entries :-).

The poker month may began very good but ended really bad. My first losing month this year and also the first month with a negative EV. At the end of the month my poker play was just bad, I tilted very soon in a session and my minset was also a problem. I felt really bad and had the feeling I couldn’t make one good session.

The consequence of that was that I moved down to 1/2 just to get a good feeling, to get my concentration back, to get self confidence back and to improve my play. I also have to add that I felt that I was very lazy in may with studying my game and watching videos. A big mistake in my opionon and maybe one of the reasons why this month become so bad (I should also add that I hadn’t had more setups in month than may). So I try to get June to a much better poker month than may. As usual the blog entry will end with a graph of the month (or half the month cause i played just from mid to end of may) and of course I wish you all good luck on the tables! :-)

The pounds exchange rate get worser and worser. Now it is 0,85, so it gets more and more expensive in UK (a day before i started it was 0,89). I’m not that much disappointed as you may expect me. Why was just happy after all that stress to be back in Austria although things went pretty horrible. The trip has cost me without the laptop i would say 700 pounds +-. So it wasn’t a huge disaster. My next plans are not fixed I just have some ideas what they could be (one keyword could be Malta).

Next day I looked at the papersheet and it told me that I typed in the right code at the ATM. Now I was worried. Why the hell did my bank card not work? I had no explanation and so I called my bank in Austria. The help was not really a help, because the bank clerk coulnd’t say if my Pin code was the right one and gave me the “good” advice i should try it again and if my card would be locked I should call her back as soon as possible.

That was pretty much a worst case scenario as you could imagine. But I had a plan B if the bank card would strike.  My plan B was to buy a screen for my computer (which would arrive on Friday) and a wirerless internet stick. On the same day I went by high-speed railway to Coventry to the first estate agency and made up a flat view on Friday evening (meeting point the flat). Estate agencies are different than in Germany or in Austria. They don’t deliver much service and thats the reason why you pay them not much m0ney (around 150 to 220 pounds fee if you rent a flat or a house…compared to 2-2,5 month rent in Austria which could be for example 900-1300 Euro). I think i should add that the viewing of the flat is not that estate agent will show you the empty the flat, the person who will show you the flat is the current!! tenant (as I said for that low price you get nearly no service).

Friday was maybe the worst the on my journey. I tested my bank card in the afertnoon in Coventry which was a mistake. Off course the bank card got locked up and because of the fact that the banks Austria just work until two o’clock on Friday and generally don’t work on Saturday or Sunday I could at earliest call my bank on Monday morning. But my concentration now was on viewing the flat and a german student who studied in Conventry helped me to find the right Street when I looked confused in the city map.

Due to his help I found the right street and had ten minutes left and thought nothing could now go wrong. I just have to find the number 103. But this was the problem. There was now building with the number 103 and no person who I asked knew this building. Then I noticed that she also add the word Drapers field (which was the other another street next to the oringal street Leicester Row). So I looked in that street if there could be a number 103 but I didn’t find it (she also gave me not the name of the tennant) and also ther was no sign in the window or in front of a house with the name of the agency. To sum it up it was a disaster. It was 8 o’clock and hadn’t found and so I went back to the train station.

Saturday I went again to Coventry to another agency to made up another house view. The service was even worser she just wrote down the address on a small papersheet and called the tennant. Meeting point was the again the house at 10:30 in the morning on Sunday. If you now ask yoursef why I didn’t view houses in Birmingham the service there was again worser because all of the houses or flats I wanted to rent were not available any more and the just gave me leaflet from their estates. No person ever asked me what would be my requirements for estates or other service stuff.

I really hoped that the house viewing on Sunday would be a success because I got more and more desperate with the whole situation (I extended twice the hotel which gave me a 33 % discount from 60 pounds to 40 pounds). The first diffculty on that day the was that there was no train to coventry instead there was a coach. Needless to say I got late to that house but this was not the problem. The tennant was a young fat english working-class mummy who cound’t pay the rent anymore with her baby (but I didn’t saw the baby just baby stuff). The first room i say was a messy roomie. The whole room was filled by useless stuff which just lied down on the floor with no space to went in (like in some reportages on RTL 2, maybe under all that stuff there was the baby ;-)).

The living room and the kitchen were super small. The kitchen alleyway was built for one thin person. So the return path was cutted when the fat mummy followed me in the kitchen (not a good feeling). The rear garden wasn’t a garden ther were just 5-6 stone plates on the floor and I just saw fencings. But the funniest thing was when I tried to get upstairs. I’m not very tall (1,83 m) and not very heavy(70 kg) but I went upstairs half ducked and was afraid the to get stuck in it with my backpack . When I talked to her about her house she told me that she couldn’t pay her bills any more (what a suprise!) and when I looked skeptical about the house she reapeted the phrase “it’s not a bad house” like a metronome. The answer of the question how many m2 the house has she said the montly cost of the eletricity are 40 pounds. The house wasn’t available  now (as it was written on the internet) it would have taken another week to get it.

So now I was sure I had to take plan B because didn’t want to rely on my bank in Austria. To find a simple computer screen is really diffcult in England. I didn’t find one in the city centre of Northfield or in the Bullring or near the Bullring (for example Mark and Spencer). There were not much electornic store and in the electronic stores they just had TV screens. So in my desperation I had to take a TV screen (and and internet stick) which could also pluged in a computer. When I was in the hotel and tried to plug the screen into the computer I noticed it had the wrong adapter (at that time I forgot that a special adapter could bridge the different data links).

On Monday I called my bank in Austria and they told me that the new code would be avaiable at the end of the week (Thursday or Friday). Too long for me so I had a last plan (plan C). I went back with my screen and hoped to get my money back or at least a gift certifcate with which I could buy a laptop. Off course I didn’t get my money back but a gift certificate with which I buyed a laptop (my password database was only on my old computer and not on a stick so I had no acces to my poker account to get new money). With not much money left I buyed a flight ticket back to Austria and a coach from Birmingham to London Stansted (15 pounds for 4 hours was a very good price, flight costs were 120 pounds).

The last problem I had to solve was the shipping of my 13,5 kg heavy computer. I found the nearest DHL branch in internet and went with the computer to the train station and wanted to take taxi from Birmingham New Street. Unfortunately this branch where not for normal customers (just for freight) so I took the taxi back to New Street took the train and carried it the home to the hotel (unhandily 13,5 kg can be pretty heavy if you have to carry it uphill). In the hotel I ask the hotel manager where the next local post office is and he answered me that it is located in the Northfield city centre but closed today ( what else).

On Tuesday I went to the post office and they could ship the computer (twice as expensive as DHL and 3 times longer duration, nice deal!). Wednesday early in the morning I payed with my last money the hotel bill (at the beginning my credit card had 1000 pounds) and took the taxi to the coach station. The bus journey and the flight were according to the plan and in the afternoon I was back in Linz. In my other blog entry I will post my april graph and some pictures of Birmingham and another stuff. :-)

Tommorow will be the big day and I hope I will have not to much stress on that day. My journey plan was posted in  one of my recent blog posts if you ask yourself how the day will go after my flight to London. Wish me luck in these days, because I will really need it. Delays would be horrible tommorow  so I really hope that I will be lucky boy on this day ;-). I don’t know what I should add, maybe there many things that I forget but I have to focus myself to the next 33 hours.

If i should forget something tommorow i have the Tuesday to get my things done. Also on Tuesday afternoon i am going to ship my PC and hope that the PC will arrive without an accident.

Wednesday will be the key day. At first i am going to sign off at the local authorities and after that I am going to pack my trolleys and eat my last meal in Linz. I hope that I will not forget something important until I’m in the airplane that would really suck.

So far this month was a good poker month! Especially in the second half of the month i played my best poker and was quiete happy with that. It could or it should be a 5 digit month like last month. So i have no fiancial worries and really hope that I will soon get a flat (which is the most important thing) and my account at Lloyds in Birmingham.

Yesterday I checked in at ryanair and printed my flight tickets. I also send four enquieres to real estate agencies for houses that I’m intrested in. The good thing is i have not much to do anymore before i go by plane. So my stress level is very low at the moment and should not increase much in the next days.

My poker results have been very good until now at the half of the month. I’m running very vey good over EV in these days. And i also made a new personal record. 17 days in a row without a loosing day. Nice one! Yesterday Poker Stars induced a new game structure which also effect in PLO Omaha. But until now I have been not very satisfied with that at all. The introduction of the shawllow tables with 24-50 bb was not a very good idea in my opinon and I hope Poker Stars will react so to the many complains after the changes.

Yesterday I ordered a new trolley from Amazon because I need two suitcases for my Birmingham trip. For one week now I have done nearly everday a workout which I think helped me also a lot physically and mentally. I really need to be in good shape for my Birmingham journey because I have to carry a lot of luggage.

The journey day will obviously start in Linz. My mum will take me to the local airport by car and frome there (16:50) I will go by plane to London Stansted. When I will arrive there (17:45)  I have to take the London Stansted express to Tottenham Hale. From Tottenham Hale I will take the underground to the London Euston train station. The train from London Euston will go at 20:03 and will arrive at 21:25 in Birmingham New Street. The last way will be the taxi drive from Birmingham New Street to the Norwood hotel. I hope I will be at 21:45 at the hotel.

Expenses: flight 72 Euro, Stansted Express 16 pounds, Underground 4 pounds, train ticket 10 pounds, taxi drive 11-13 pounds (approximately)

Overall: ca. 120 Euro

Notice: a  flight to Birmingham from Linz or Salzburg (with 1 transfer in germany or Kopenhagen) is at least twice as expensive and would take also a longer time

The hotel is booked for three nights. I really hope I’ll soon get a house in Birmingham but I am confindet that this will be the case. The hotel in which I will stay is the Norwood Hotel. I know this hotel from my last visit in Birmingham and I was very satisfied with it. The owners of the hotel are really nice and helpful people which I think is very important when you make a relocation from another country.

Another important point was also cleared. I now know how I can ship my computer to Birmingham. The solution for this problem is DHL. For 56 Euro I can ship my computer to Birmingham to the nearest DHL Branch from my hotel (which is Northfield).

The only thing I’m a bit worried is my bank account in the UK. I haven’t already get an answer from HSBC about the opening of my account. I hope I’ll soon get an answer about this topic and of course it would be very good if could have an account there. If the answer is negative then I will try to open an account at Lloyds.

Pokerpractical I have to add the this month could get to one of my best months ever. It should get a 5 digit month which is off course very nice. The Graph will also be shown in one of the next to blog entries from myself. The last thing I have to say is:
