Es ist schon unglaublich. Pokerstars hat heute allen Spielern die in Italien wohnen oder die italienische Staatsbürgerschaft besitzen bekannt gegeben, dass sie ab 27 Juli 2009 nicht mehr auf Pokerstars.com zugreifen können und die Accounts geschlossen werden!
Der Headbanner der Email war besonders süffisant: Ciao Pokerstars.com, dal 27 Luglio gioca solo su Pokerstars.it
Begründet wird das Ganze dadurch, dass die italienische Regierung am 7 Juli eine Gesetz verabschiedet hat das Pokerstars.com dazu nutz um diese Accounts zu sperren. Hier findet man die neue Verordnung. Mein italienisch ist zwar beschränkt und um mein Rechtswissen steht es noch schlechter aber ich konnte in diesen Text weder irgendwas zum Thema Glücksspiel, Poker oder sonstiges finden.
Nun gut, ich werde es sowieso überleben, mein Hauptgeld mache ich auf anderen Seiten. Trotzdem ist es traurig, dass ich nicht mehr im Genuss einer Sunday Million, Warmup oder WCOOP komme. Anstelle diesen großartigen Turnieren muss ich nun auf 4-5 kleineren Netzwerken (FTP gar nicht mitgerechnet) grinden um zumindest locker 12 tablen zu können. Ich glaub die einzigste Person die sich über solch eine Entwicklung freuen kann ist wohl meine Freundin.
Vor wenigen Wochen noch war ich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben froh die italienische Staatsbürgerschaft zu besitzen. Sie ermöglicht mir das spielen auf .IT seiten die unglaublich soft sind. Aber so schnell kann sich das Blatt wenden, alles hat nunmal sein Ende.
Besonders böse hat es Redcow erwischt. Er hat Poker ca. ein Jahr nach mir angefangen und sich von den Microstakes bis in die Low-Mid Stakes FLHE hoch gearbeitet. Anfang Juli hat er zum ersten Mal 5/10 geshottet. Jetzt droht ihm wie vielen anderen Cashgame Spielern das Worst Case Szenario. Seitenlange Notes sind weg, abertausende von getrackten Händen wertlos und der VPP Status auch.

vor sowas hab ich ehrlich gsagt auch immer irgendwie angst.
aber in AUT bahnt sich (NOCH) sowas nicht an, wollma hoffen das es auch dabei bleibt.

If you are an Italian citizen who lives abroad you can play on .COM
poker sites after the law passes on July 29th 2009.
To continue playing on PokerStars.COM after July 27th at 9pm CET or to
request the reinstatement of your PokerStars.COM after the above date,
you MUST supply the below listed documentation to prove that your
permanent place of residence is not Italy:
A copy of two bank statements (one recent plus one older copy)
A passport/ID copy showing the non-Italian residency stamp. Note that
valid dates must be visible and the residency must be permanent.
Should you decide/need to move abroad in the future, please email us
your new address details and supporting documentation. We will then
reactivate your old account and make the necessary address change.
Please note that we cannot reactivate old .COM accounts for customers to
use while abroad, on short trips or vacation. Italian residents cannot
register new PokerStars.com accounts while abroad for reasons other than
relocation or permanent residency. Any new account that does not meet
the above criteria will be cancelled.
The Italian Government has directly requested PokerStars to stop
providing services to Italian .COM customers residing in Italy, after
the new law comes into effect on the 29th of July 2009 and we have
agreed to comply with this request as required by law.
